This year, Father’s Day is June 18th, which is less than two weeks away, and that means I have less than two weeks to figure out what to do for my dad and for Dan’s third Father’s Day. If you’re like me and are looking for last-minute ideas to celebrate the fathers and father figures in your life, here are some ideas.
A round of golf at his favorite local course, plus new golf balls, or an indoor golf putting game, from $45, to play with the whole family. (Both my dad and Dan love golf, so this would definitely be a crowd-pleaser.)
A pickleball paddle set, $150, so he can try out the fastest-growing sport of 2023, or a single paddle with a cover and carrying bag, $42.
A cool pair of sunglasses, from $25, to wear to the golf course and pickleball courts. Dan and I have worn goodr sunglasses since I first heard about the brand in 2016, while training for my first marathon. Here, I’m wearing Nessy’s Midnight Orgy after running the Brooklyn Half Marathon, and we also have the classic Bosley’s Basset Hound Dreams and A Ginger’s Soul as well. Cannot recommend these more!
Chomps Meat Sticks, $28 for a 24-pack, for a protein-packed, on-the-go snack.
Tickets to a baseball game so he can enjoy one of his favorite pastimes. If you don’t have an MLB team nearby, we’ve had a ton of fun at minor league games, like the Portland Sea Dogs (above), and college games are also fun to watch.
Great American Beer Soap, $11, that’s made with Old Milwaukee beer but smells like sandalwood — not beer.
A fishing rod, $70, for fun adventures on the water.
A lawn/beach chair that rocks, from $63, for ultimate dad comfort.
Bodega glasses, $50 for 12 (or $5 for one), that are the perfect size for a pint.
A long FaceTime/a chatty walk around the neighborhood/a stoop hang, $priceless :)
What are your plans for Father’s Day? Any gift ideas you’d add to this list? I’d love to hear!

I read a lot of blog posts about gifts, but I must say that yours is the best I found out there.
