Last night, I was simultaneously scouring Craig’s List for apartments for rent and browsing Pinterest for cute and easy DIY home projects. Since we’ve moved around quite a bit lately — this will be our third move in a year and a half, I haven’t felt that strong sense of home at either of our NYC apartments.
One thing that I think will help build that homey feeling is a few cute and homemade decor pieces. I’m excited to try any of these five projects, which all seem relatively quick and inexpensive:
1. This hanging copper hat rack is so pretty — it doubles as wall decor!
2. This book planter DIY is a fun way to recycle old magazines.
3. I’d love to hang a few of these wooden triangle shelves on the wall behind our bed.
4. A wall-mounted shelf to decorate with photos and trinkets, and for storage.
5. And these mini copper planters (by Ashley) add an industrial touch, which I love.
Have you done any DIY home projects lately? I’d love to hear!
PS. How to feel settled in a new place and another cute DIY home decor project.
That book planter is awesome and unique! Who would have thought!?
I love the Triangular shelves and the copper plant pots. I actually did a post a while back on spraying my own copper plant pots, very cheap to pick up the spray bottles and make you own.
I’d love to make my own plant hanger from string and some nice way of displaying my ridiculous Scarf collection.
Great post!
