I’m headed to the courthouse for jury duty today, so I thought this post from the Happily K archives was a good one to share, originally published on March 27, 2014…
Last week, I spent a few days visiting relatives in Houston with my mom, and while catching up, she shared an interesting article about Night Court, which is a growing — and unexpected — NYC tourist attraction.
Night court, held at New York’s Criminal Court Building in lower Manhattan, takes place from 5 PM to 1 AM nightly and audience members can observe between 70 and 90 real-life court cases each night. The chance to experience an authentic NYC court atmosphere is finding its way onto many tourists’ bucket lists. You can read the whole article here.
I’m not a huge fan of shows like Law & Order, but I think it could be interesting to check out Night Court. Dan’s initial reaction: “Court isn’t fun.” Good point.
What do you think? Would you go?
P.S. NYC advice.
