For the past few months I’ve toyed with the idea of featuring outfit posts on City and Us; a lot of blogs feature outfit posts. It’s a great way to discover new pieces, trends, and tips (like this one) that you may not have found otherwise. But, still, I wasn’t sure.
I appreciate billowing maxi dresses, power clashing, and wide-brimmed hats as much as anyone. But when relatability and attainability swiftly see themselves out the door in matching Valentino Rockstud pumps–that gets to me. And I have no interest in that.
What I am interested in doing with outfit features is: Keepin’ it real. When I score a $17 pair of jeans or buy my beloved Ray Bans from ideel, I’ll tell you all about it. (Both true, by the way.) I’ll share what I’m actually wearing–like in real life–and not, as my sister said, random stuff on the internet that everyone is posting.
So, coming up is my attempt at an honest, (dare I say) transparent series of outfit posts. I hope you like this new addition to City and Us!
Awesome! Can’t wait to see more. I’m excited to see actual outfit posts that I can relate to.
