Recently, I applied and was selected to be an intern at Blogshop, a Photoshop class for bloggers and creatives. Today was the first day of the class, and I’m happy to report that it was a fun experience! Bri, an art director and blogger based in Los Angeles, and Angela, a photographer and commercial director based in Los Angeles, teach the 2-day workshop. Students learn skills involving creating templates, retouching photos, animated GIFs, and lots of other fun stuff. I use Photoshop on this blog but my skills are mainly self-taught (except I took a couple graphic design classes my freshmen year of college) so it’s been great to pick up tricks–particularly the time-saving tricks!– and learn a new skill or two along the way. I’m excited to implement them here on The City and Us. You can follow along with the class on Instagram with #blogshopny or on the Blogshop Instagram and I’ll be posting pictures on my feed throughout the day tomorrow as well. Come follow along! xo

Your pictures are all stunning! I wish I could have been there.
Thanks so much, Allison! The studio was so beautifully decorated, which made photographing easy :) Bri and Angela mentioned that Blogshop will be returning to NYC, so hopefully you can catch them the next time around.
