What are you doing to take a mental break from *gestures broadly at everything* while you’re spending time inside? We’ve been rewatching favorite shows, trying new recipes, and catching up with friends and family over Zoom, but we’ve also been on the lookout for something low-key that doesn’t involve a screen. Two ideas came to mind: puzzles and adult coloring books. We’re taking suggestions for puzzles, and after a little searching online, I was able to find a bunch of free printable coloring pages. If you’re interested, here’s what I found and links to download each page…
Sun from the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec Coloring Book 2020.
You Got This Babe by Mary Kate McDevitt for Framebridge.
Framed Cactus by Paige Poppe for Framebridge.
Beauty and the beast picture book by Walter Crane from the Smithsonian Libraries Coloring Book.
Herbal plant by Leonhard Fuchs from the Smithsonian Libraries Coloring Book.
Chinese Owl, Strix Sinensis from the New York Public Library Coloring Book.
Coryphaena pentadactyla from the New York Public Library Coloring Book.
Bookmobile from the Washington State Library’s 2020 Coloring Book.
The Train Scrap Book from Brunel University Special Collections Coloring Book 2020.
You can find a ton of other free printable coloring pages at the Color Our Collections series from the New York Academy of Medicine Library. Also, Millie Marotta makes beautiful adult coloring books of endangered animals, curious creatures, and tropical wonderlands.
Thoughts? Which is your favorite?
P.S. More things to do while social distancing and isolation creations.

Wow these are such a great find! We offer a lot of experiential therapy at the facility I work at, Harmony Recovery Group (www.harmonyrecoverygroup.com) I can’t wait to show these to the group facilitators for arts and craft therapy.
That’s such a great idea, Elle! Coloring can be so therapeutic. xo
Thanks for sharing these Printables
Of course — hope you enjoy them!
