Happy November, readers! How was your October? Is it just me or does October always fly by? I blinked and it was over. I managed to document a few moments over the month. Here are the highlights…
Madewell hosted a denim recycling drive and drove their rad 1963 Ford ‘Pop-up Recycling Truck’ over to the Meatpacking District. They setup shop right outside my office, and I recycled three pairs of old jeans that will be made into housing insulation–how cool is that?! Also, I got to “drive” the vintage truck! If you know me, you know I love vintage vehicles.
We moved into our new apartment in Park Slope at the beginning of the month — our view is definitely the best part!
I picked up a few new beauty tricks — like how to best fill in eyebrows — at a work event with Stephanie.
I completed my third half marathon, the Rock n’ Roll Brooklyn Half Marathon, with approximately 15,000 other runners!
After the half marathon, we met a group of friends in Prospect Park for a picnic.
Dan and I escaped the city for a couple of days and explored the North Fork of Long Island. I hope more weekend getaways like this one are in our near future. It was such a treat.
The Blood Manor haunted house is the real deal! Highly, highly recommended!
Lastly, I dressed up as a mail-order bride for a Halloween Costume Party at work. It was 100% inspired by my very creative cousin, Sara (thanks for the inspiration, Sara!). A lot of hot glue was used to keep that FedEx skirt assembled, haha.
October was a good one. Now on to November. As always, thank you for reading! xo
