What are you doing this weekend? We’re lounging and maybe checking out the Winter Flea + Holiday Market in Crown Heights. Have you been? It seems as though winter showed up in Brooklyn this week. It was so cold and windy! I’ll be wearing hats a lot in the coming months to sustain windy NYC. I especially love this knit pom hat that comes in a few different colors–the blood orange is fun. Stay warm this weekend, and here’s this week’s link roundup:
Not your typical fashion story: Brooklyn’s Hasidic Hipsters (very interesting!)
I really enjoyed this TED Talk by Stefan Sagmeister’ titled Happiness by Design.
The United States of Thanksgiving: Recipes that evoke each of the 50 states.
An 11 by 14 foot cabin in the woods built in six weeks for only $4,000 (I love the Mexican ceramic sink).
Have you seen these cartoon characters brought to life with makeup on Laura Jenkinson’s face? Impressive.
Yesterday’s ninth episode of Serial. Are you listening yet? What do you think about it?
