A Bright NYC Office With Greenhouse Rooms

February 18, 2016May 11, 2023 Kelley 1 comment

The City and Us | Homepolish Greenhouse Office

NYC-based interior design firm Homepolish is headquartered in a 5,000-square-foot loft in New York’s Flatiron District. The space is bright and open and filled with beautiful decor. But the coolest part about the Homepolish office is the three greenhouse conference rooms…

Noa Santos, Homepolish Co-founder, and Shelly Lynch-Sparks, Head of Commercial Design, used three Wayfair greenhouses (similar) to create spaces for group meetings, video conferences, dining areas, and private work zones. Each greenhouse has its own theme and is named after a Beyoncé song (Video Phone, Halo, and Run the World).

Each greenhouse has comfy seating, an ottoman or two, and a pretty rug, and is such a fun way to create separate spaces within a large, open-floor room. It would be relaxing to eat your lunch in one of the greenhouses or sneak a five-minute break.

Another creative element in the Homepolish office is the hanging plant wall, which Noa says “adds a touch of privacy but still feels open.” Wouldn’t this be fun to construct in a studio apartment or large living area to break up the space? I would definitely try this in our studio.

What do you think? Do you like the indoor greenhouses? What about the living wall?
