Spring Fashion

I’ve been itching to add some new spring pieces to my closet, but since we’re on a bit of a spending freeze over here, window shopping, Pinterest, and beautifully crafted emails from Madewell, J.Crew, and Free People will have to do.

Have you seen anything new and interesting lately? What are you wearing these days? My go-to uniform is an army jacket, white t-shirt, skinny jeans, samba sneakers, and my trusty Madewell transport tote. In fact, this post about what everyone in NYC is wearing made me laugh out loud. So true. Normcore. But I’m looking for some fresh ways to change up what’s already in my closet. Ideas welcome!

Here are a few looks (including the two above) I’m really loving right now:

This casual beach vibe makes me want to go to California.

I could wear this casual work uniform every day.

And this laid-back weekend look for running around the city would be perfect for the warm days ahead.

UPDATE: Over the past week, I’ve seen a handful of ladies wearing beautiful kimonos. I couldn’t help myself, so I stopped one friendly-looking gal and asked her about her light pink kimono. She was wearing this one over a white tee with light-colored jeans. I think it would go great with white jeans as well (and even these). Now a kimono is on my must-have list for spring and summer : )
