Do you like to interview people? In high school, I took a photography class and the final assignment was to photograph and interview elders in our community. I loved the project so much and ended up interviewing two people!
The new StoryCorps app allows you to record and share the stories all around you. With a library of thought-provoking questions, the app helps you engage the interviewee in a meaningful conversation, and then it automatically records, stores, and uploads the interview. Brandon of Humans of NY said, “I’d recommend adding the extra element of using the app to interview a stranger. Engaging a stranger in a meaningful conversation can be very intimidating, and the growth that comes from the exercise can be substantial…If nothing else, it can give you ideas for prompts to make your everyday conversations more meaningful.”
So cool! I just downloaded the app and can’t wait to go through the archive of uploaded interviews and add my own!
You can download it here, if you’d like.
